Travel Insurance with Heart or Circulatory Conditions

If you have been diagnosed with a heart or circulatory condition, we’ll normally be able to cover you so long as you provide accurate information about your condition during our online medical screening process. The premium you pay will depend on the type of condition, when it was diagnosed, and the type of policy you require. Once you've declared your heart or circulatory conditions on your policy, you'll be covered if you need to cancel or cut short your trip due to a change in health leaving you unable to travel. You'll also be covered if you need emergency medical treatment while abroad, including repatriation to land from a cruise ship, and back to the UK where medically necessary.

While travelling, for minor illnesses, you'll have access to an English-speaking teledoctor service (via video or phone) that can issue prescriptions remotely in most countries. For more serious illness, you'll also have access to our 24/7 medical emergency assistance line.

Please note, we won’t be able to provide cover if you’ve not yet been fully diagnosed. If you are awaiting further investigations or surgery for a diagnosed heart or circulatory condition, you’ll be covered to travel, but have reduced cover for related cancellation or curtailment (see quote journey for more information).
