For example, if your excess with the car rental company was €750, and you damaged your rental vehicle, you would pay the rental company €750, and they would pay the remaining cost of the claim. You would then claim back the €750 you paid, from Cedar Tree. If you had alternatively taken the car rental company cover your excess would have been reduced to €0 saving you the hassle of paying and reclaiming.

Very impressed with Cedar Tree Insurance. I needed a family travel insurance for a holiday, some quotes were very high as a result of medical issues but Cedar Tree's quote was very reasonable. After taking out the insurance we received all the documents immediately via email. On my return from the holiday, Cedar Tree contacted me with a welcome home email along with details of how to submit any claims. Thankfully we did not need to make a claim but it is reassuring to know that if required, help and guidance is offered and available.
